We would like to invite you to a virtual SCFA town hall on Thursday, December 8, at 5PM. This will be an opportunity to hear updates regarding the bargaining process and ask any questions you might have regarding struck work, the submission of final grades, or faculty rights regarding the strike more generally.
Post meeting notes:
Thank you for registering for last night’s SCFA town hall. For those of you who were able to attend, we hope you were able to get many of your questions answered. If you are still unsure about how to navigate some of your choices and would like to talk through your individual situation with someone from SCFA, please write to scfa.assist@gmail.com and a board member will get in touch with you.
If you will not be submitting fall grades, we ask that you please add the number of expected missing grades to the CUCFA system-wide missing grade tally (37,000 and counting), so that we can make the scale of faculty refusal visible to UCOP and increase the pressure on the administration to bargain in good faith and end the strike.
We also invite you to share the information from last night’s meeting with your colleagues and friends as we know that many faculty are still unsure about their options in this moment. And, if you are not yet an SCFA member, you can join here.
