SCFA is the only UC Senate Faculty Association that is a certified collective bargaining agent. This means that the university has an obligation to negotiate with us over locally-determined policies or practices that impact the terms and conditions of our employment. In addition to some of the specific negotiations outlined below, we meet regularly with Labor Relations to discuss the working conditions of faculty and communicate emergent issues.
